HEALTH AND HAPPINESS ZUMBA EXERCISE

Zumbatomic classes in Carson City.

Various studies sadly reveal that children and teens in foster care do not have a healthy image of themselves, are overweight or obese or undernourished. These youth are not taught healthy eating habits, and physically spend much of their daily time sitting, whether it be in a car going back and forth to court appointments, birth-parent visitations, social worker/case management consultations, therapy sessions, etc.

This fun musical exercise program combining basic dance steps to Latin music, is for the youth and their foster and/or birth parents to exercise together once a week. Classes are held in Reno and in Carson City by certified Zumba instructors.

This program is funded by a grant from the Nevada Energy Foundation.
